The Barrio Has Talent (TBHT) is pleased to announce the official launch of this summer’s biggest talent search for the Next “Barrio Boyzz,” an all-boy band that will reprise the original Barrio Boyzz, an American Latin pop group that rose to the top of the Billboard charts in the 1990s. TBHT’s national talent search is open to boys 13-19 years of age via a video submission. TBHT has embarked on a journey to find talent in the Barrio (the Hood).

This project will identify 5 new artists with the musical potential and a passion for singing. The group will be mentored and coached by successful and experienced artists and entertainers in the industry and provided training and artistic development to create what is considered the Next Generation of artists from the Barrios around our nation. After an initial round of online auditions, finalists will be selected for live auditions in NYC in September. Winners will be announced in the Fall.
“We are looking to create the NEXT ‘Barrio Boyzz.’ Each member of the group will have their own unique style and vocal ability to be the next super star of the moment. Sound and style in music have to have a combination of R&B, Pop, Rap, and harmonies which will set them apart from other groups in today’s music industry. The group will appeal to audiences across the country and the world to be the next Pop Urban Band of today that fosters a community of inclusion,” said Jeff Vigil, Co-Founder & CEO.

The Barrio Has Talent will step in to help these inner-city kids do just that. My goal is to create a massive audition to find the NEXT Barrio Boyzz!
