From 6 to 10 P.M. come out to the Queens Museum on this July 31st beautiful Friday evening for performance and live events by our studio program artists. In the Studio Program Exhibition galleries and around the museum, Juan Betancurth hosts a wide array of sound and music-related performers, while every hour on the hour Caroline Woodard and Lika Volkova come alive under the Queens Museum’s central skylight. Live events by a range of artists include Unknown Packages, a performance by Jewyo Rhii with participating artists Rhii, Boram Moon, Ikjung Cho, Jinju Lee and Jihyun Jung, unfolding in the Studio Wing. Finally, outside around the Unisphere, Brian Zegeer presents Moses Meets the Prophet (A Treatise on the Nature of the Marks on the Face of the Moon) in which performers, costumed as New York City skyscrapers, tell the story of a fictional meeting between Robert Moses, the «Power Broker» responsible for Corona Park’s 1939 and 1964 Worlds’ Fairs, and Kahlil Gibran, author of The Prophet.

Certain artists’ studios in the studio wing will also be open to the public — for a rare glimpse behind the scenes. There will be an open bar and a shuttle bus from Mets-Willets Point.
