In 2014, Heskel Group and Sun Equity Partners bought the site of the old movie theater on 82nd Street for $27m. This summer these multi-million-dollar real estate corporations announced plans to build a mall with 9 floors of market-rate housing and have already signed a 15-year lease with Target. Community Board 4 is holding a public hearing about the development on March 13th at Elmhurst Hospital.
