In the Game, produced by Kartemquin Films (The Interrupers, Hoop Dreams, TheTrials of Muhammad Ali, 5 Girls), premieres September 27 at 8 p.m. on WORLD Channel, and follows a girls’ soccer team in an inner-city Chicago high school to reveal the socio-economic obstacles confronted by Latinas as they seek an education amid issues of class and gender in their working class neighborhood.

We Like It Like That explores a pivotal moment in ’60s music history when Puerto Rican, Cuban and African American youth of the period fused blues, funk and traditional Caribbean rhythms to define a new generation of urban Latinos. The film features Boogaloo innovators such as Joe Bataan, a Filipino-African American Latin soul musician from New York, Johnny Colon and many others; narrated by acclaimed DJ Bobbito Garcia.
