Last Tuesday, Friends of Corona Plaza held a meeting to educate commercial stakeholders on the importance of safety and code compliance in the work place. Joined by the FDNY fire prevention team and the Corona Community Ambulance Corps, the group learned a variety of techniques to keep their businesses safe.
The Corona Community Ambulance Corps was on hand to share tips on being prepared in the event an emergency and reassured merchants, they are only minutes away from Corona Plaza to help.
The meeting was well represented by plaza stakeholders from Walgreen’s,USPS Corona Station , Aliento de Vida Church, Pollo Campero , Burger King, Queens EDC and the Neighborhood Plaza Partnership.
Corona Plaza is located at the intersection of Roosevelt Avenue and 103rd Street, in Corona, Queens.
